The Orthodox Church is the only Church on earth that can trace its history, teachings, and worship back to Christ and the Apostles in an unbroken historical line. In other words, the Orthodox Church is not just another Christian denomination; it is the ancient Christian Church.

As
we plan our many “New Year’s Resolutions” for 2023, let us bear in mind the sobering
words of St. Ambrose of Optina, “You must not be greatly troubled about many
things, but you should care for the main thing — preparing yourself for death.”
I like this. Following this advice would be a great help in the spiritual life.
